Culinary America

Have you always wanted to take a cooking course(s) in the USA, but thought it might be too intimidating? Culinary America is a 2 week cooking program for international students in North Carolina. At Wynton’s World Cooking School, our in-house chef patiently and expertly guides the class as you learn to prepare delicious American specialties.  You’ll spend afternoons in our cozy kitchen with fellow classmates, creating a variety of sweet and savory dishes. Develop your culinary vocabulary as you chop, whisk and stir your way through classic American recipes. Enjoy your creations that evening at lunch or dinner with other guests and instructors.

Homestay hosts are a diverse group: young and old, married couples with children, single people living alone, groups of people sharing housing, working people and retirees, professionals and shop owners, scientists and schoolteachers, artists and artisans, etc. We try to match students with hosts with similar interests. The hosts offer their homes because they want to meet you and because they want to help Wynton’s World. During the week, students are busy at school and usually have time only for late evening and breakfast conversations with hosts, but on weekends students are free to spend time with their hosts.

Activities & Excursions: These exciting adventures are all designed to enrich your experience with hands-on opportunities to explore the culture and surroundings of North Carolina and America. Our excursions are filled with a myriad of activities in our attempt to captivate your interest and give you the most authentic experience possible.

Visa & Passport: Wynton’s World specializes in short-stay programs. Our students stay for 1 – 4 weeks. If you are coming to the United States to participate in one of our programs, then you will need a visa. Most countries require that a passport remain valid for a specified time beyond the expected visit. While different countries have different requirements, passports valid for at least 6 months beyond completion of your visit will be accepted. We also suggest bringing additional identification such as a driver’s license or other type of government-issued photo ID. We urge you to contact the appropriate embassy or consulate to determine what travel documents are required.
